Catching the wind: shipping content faster with AI

How brands cut their content cycle from weeks to hours without sacrificing brand consistency.

Short answer: you ship content faster with AI by capturing your brand once, using fixed settings per channel and letting AI create the variants and formats, with a short human check before anything goes live. The speed then comes from the process, not from less care. That is how teams go from idea to a strong visual in one afternoon instead of several weeks.

Speed has become a big part of brand equity. The teams winning right now do not necessarily have the biggest budgets. They ship a first version, learn from the response and iterate before the market moves on.

Why does content production take so long?

In most businesses the delay is not in the creative idea but in everything around it:

  • Scheduling: a photoshoot has to be booked, with a photographer, a studio and sometimes styling or models.
  • Lead time: after the shoot come selection, retouching and feedback rounds.
  • Formats: every channel needs a different ratio, from a 9:16 Story to a 16:9 web banner. Often the same image is simply cropped.
  • Repetition: for every new campaign or season, the cycle starts again.

The result will sound familiar: the same five products in every image, a feed that goes quiet and ads that run too long because nothing new is ready.

What makes AI content production different?

At Vela we started from one question: how do we get from idea to a strong, on-brand visual in a single afternoon? The answer is not a single tool but a combination of models, fixed settings and quality control behind one simple studio.

The workflow in five steps

1. Capture your brand once

Before anything is generated, the studio learns your products, colours and labels from your own files. That is the difference from a general tool that guesses what your product looks like with every prompt. How to build those guardrails is covered in Brand consistency at generative scale.

2. Use fixed settings per channel

A feed ad, a product page and a billboard each need something different. Fixed settings per channel mean you do not have to work out what an image should look like every time. Which format works when is covered in Static vs video: what to generate when.

3. Brief it the way you would explain it to a colleague

"Our new mug on a kitchen table, autumn mood, for a Story." That is all you need. The studio translates the brief into the right model and settings. How we choose that model is explained in How Vela chooses the right AI model for product visuals.

4. Check every image before it goes live

Speed without checks is a gamble. Every image is checked for the things your customer notices: is the label right, are colours and proportions accurate, does the mood fit the brand? That removes the slot-machine feel many generative tools still have.

5. Publish straight to your channels

The job is only done when it is live. That is why at Vela your content can go straight to your feed or paid campaigns, without anyone forwarding files or scheduling by hand.

What does that deliver in practice?

From one brief, Vela produces eighteen fixed formats: eight image formats and ten video formats, each in three resolutions. For paid social, one packshot gives you five ad angles: hero and benefit, before and after, problem, review and us versus the rest.

That changes three things:

  1. Your feed stays alive. New posts every week, all year round.
  2. Your ad account gets variety. You test more variants and replace them as soon as they lose steam.
  3. Your whole catalogue gets seen, not just your best-sellers.

What to watch out for

  • Start with a good source photo. The better the photo of your product, the more accurate the result.
  • Keep a human in the loop. AI makes the variants; you or your team decide what goes live.
  • Be honest about your product. Show it as it is. That prevents returns and keeps you in line with EU rules on AI content.
  • Measure what works. Shipping fast only pays off if you learn which images perform.

Frequently asked questions

How can I ship content faster with AI?

+

Capture your brand once (products, colours, style), use fixed settings per channel and let AI create the variants and formats. A person checks every image before it goes live. That takes you from brief to publish in hours instead of weeks.

Doesn't publishing faster cost quality?

+

Not if the speed comes from the process rather than from less checking. Fixed brand guardrails and a short quality check per image keep every image accurate, even at high volumes.

What do I need to start producing content with AI?

+

A good photo of your product (a packshot, phone photo or your product page is enough), your brand guidelines and a clear idea of which channels and formats you need.

Why do general AI tools often give inconsistent results?

+

General tools do not know your product or brand and start from scratch with every prompt. So the style varies and labels get guessed. A studio set up from your own files starts from the same foundation every time.

How quickly will I see results with Vela?

+

You send one product line or campaign with your brand guidelines. Within a week you see the result, next to the price you would normally pay for it.
